SkillsUSA also promotes understanding of the free-enterprise system and involvement in community service.

Students in the Precision Machining & CNC classes competed in the 2018 SkillsUSA State Leadership Conference. The following students placed in their events:

CNC Milling: 2nd Place: Cole Base, HCC post-secondary student
3rd Place: Matt Sattler, NHS Senior

Automated Manufacturing Team Event: 1st Place: Reid Graber, Jerum Phillips and Joshua Brown

Precision Machining: 1st Place: Dalton Roach, Remington HS; 
2nd Place: Matt Eldridge, NHS
